William Lipinski - Democrat, 3rd DistrictLong-time congressman Bill Lipinski reportedly has discussed retiring before the November election, to be replaced on the ballot by his son, Dan. It is believed that Rep. Lipinski, a high-ranking member of the House Transportation Committee, may be appointed chairman of the Regional Transportation Authority, a position that was recently vacated by likely candidate for governor in 2006, Tom McCracken.
