Matt O'Shea - Democrat

Matt O'Shea was a republican village president of Metamora, Illinois, which lies a few miles outside Peoria, but is now running for senate as a democrat. He does have the distinction, however, of being the only major non-Chicago democratic candidate running for the nomination.
