Joyce Washington - Democrat

Joyce Washington is a vice president at Advocate Health Care. In 2002, she ran for Lt. Governor, but lost to Pat Quinn.

Washington began her career in health care when she graduated from University of Evansville with a nursing degree. She later earned a master's in public administration from Indiana State University. Throughout her career, she has held executive positions in healthcare. At Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation, she managed several hospitals, including serving as chief operating officer of Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center from 1997 to 1999, before starting at Advocate.
